Reporting: Operations / Purchasing Manager
Schedule: 8- 5pm (MON-FRI) Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order creation and reconciliation along with vendor follow up on urgent/backordered items
- Receiving & Packing Slip confirmation
- Monitor & updating inventory spreadsheets daily
- Inventory count entry on daily, weekly and bi-weekly basis
- Attend morning Production Meetings daily
- Ability to read drawings, BOM
- Maintain good work ethics and practices within workspace
- Be quality focused ensuring parts are within defined quality
- Using historical sales and projections to forecast demands and buying cycles
- Material forecasting of local and offshore products
- Improve current vendor pricing, payment terms, storage, delivery terms
- Manage supplier non-conformance reporting, tracking, corrective actions, chargebacks and credits
Other Requirements:
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, woodworking or related furniture industry may be preferred
- College, University or continuing studies in, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management.
- Knowledge of Syspro 7.1, 2020 Insight, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Acrobat Reader / PDF creation and signature
- Experience with MRP system workflow and management
- Knowhow of ISO 9001/14001 processes
- PMAC certification pursuant
- Blue cell Optimization software
- Experience working in a fast paced, high volume, manufacturing environment is required
- Proficiency in language (English – speak, read and write) is preferred
