Our Commitment to Sustainability
At BRC, sustainability is built into everything we do—from how we design and build our products to how we package and deliver them. As a privately owned Canadian company, we take our environmental responsibility seriously and are always looking for ways to reduce our impact.
Smart, Sustainable Manufacturing
We follow strict environmental standards from Canadian and U.S. government agencies and encourage our Team to go even further.
At our facility:
- 98% of scrap wood is recycled
- 100% of cardboard, steel, and aluminum is diverted from landfills
- We use high recycled content in all cardboard cartons
- Packaging from major installations is collected and recycled
- Products are packed in bulk when possible to cut down waste
- A Blue Box program collects recyclables throughout our facility
Cleaner Air, Healthier Spaces
We care about indoor air quality—for both our team and our customers. BRC is BIFMA Level 2 certified, meaning we limit harmful emissions in our production process.
We use:
- Water-based or non-solvent adhesives
- Electrostatic powder coating, a low-emission process that recycles excess materials
- Low-emission wood, sealed to reduce pollutants like formaldehyde
We’re always working to do better—developing products that are renewable, recyclable, and responsibly made. At BRC, sustainability and quality go hand in hand.

BIFMA Level 2
BIFMA Level 2 Information
LEVEL was created to deliver the most open and transparent means of evaluating and communicating the environmental and social impacts of furniture products in the built environment. To put it simply, LEVEL is to commercial furniture as LEED is to buildings. Also like LEED, LEVEL is comprehensive. It addresses criteria across corporate, facility and product impacts in a way that few other certifications do. The following documents are published here to meet certification requirements.
