At BRC, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Each quarter, we shine a spotlight on one of our Team members whose dedication, teamwork, and spirit embody what it means to be part of the BRC family. Today, we’re proud to introduce Blake Paterson from our Assembly team.

What Blake Enjoys Most About His Role

For Blake, it’s all about the people.

“Helping each individual grow in their roles, solving challenges together, and creating an environment where we can all succeed is what brings me the most happiness and satisfaction. We’ve built a pretty special Team in assembly that I’m proud to show up for each and every day.”

Blake thrives on seeing his team hit their goals, knowing he played a part in their success.

A Superpower of Choice

If Blake could choose any superpower, it would be teleportation. Imagine enjoying coffee in Paris in the morning and still making it back in time for a Team huddle in Georgetown!

Outside the Office

When he’s not working, Blake is happiest outdoors. Hiking, golfing, camping, and travelling with friends and family are his go-to activities. When it comes to food, nothing beats a homemade pizza.

Celebrating Five Years

Blake recently marked his five-year anniversary at BRC. In that time, he has been part of some big accomplishments, particularly in navigating change and driving improvements within assembly.

“No matter what’s been thrown our way, we’ve stayed adaptable, focused and still delivered on our goals. Recently, we’ve made big strides in improving our layout, prep organization and assembly process. As a result, we’ve been consistently setting new records in assembly month after month while also reaching record levels of quality. That’s a huge accomplishment, and it couldn’t have happened without the hard work and buy-in from everyone involved.”

Blake is quick to recognize the contributions of other teams: Machining, Inventory, Purchasing, and Engineering, that make assembly’s achievements possible.

“I like to think of assembly as the heart of the production process, where all of that effort comes together at one very specific moment. None of what we’ve achieved would be possible without their contributions, and I’m proud to be part of it.”
